DARRAN contributions to LEED V4
MR: Construction and Demolition Waste Management Planning

DARRAN product packaging can be recycled; our primary packing materials are corrugated cardboard, plastic and wood. Stretch wrap depends on local recycling capabilities.

MR: Building Product Disclosure and Optimization – Sourcing of Raw Materials (Option 2)

DARRAN offers products that are FSC certified, containing varying levels of recycled content and may be manufactured within 100 miles of the project site. Data sheets can be provided. If specified to met this requirement, DARRAN products will contain in excess of 80% of FSC certified wood content (by weight).

MR: Interiors Life-Cycle Impact Reduction (Option 2)

DARRAN products are long-lasting, resilient and reconfigurable.

Indoor environmental quality
IEQ: Low-Emitting Materials

All DARRAN veneer, laminate and guest seating are MAS Certified Green for complying with the ANSI/BIFMA X7.1-2007 Standard / LEED Standard for Low-VOC emitting furniture. Certification of compliance under the Low-VOC emitting furniture testing, qualifies. MAS certificates are updated annually and are available for download on our website.

IEQ: Interior Lighting, IEQ: Daylight and EQ Quality Views

DARRAN offers finishes that have a reflectance of more than 45%. Our products are available in varying heights, as well as height adjustable, which offer flexibility in controlling the amount of daylight and views that are available in the interior. LED task lighting and occupancy sensor product in furniture installation can contribute to reducing ambient light requirements and energy load; could be applicable to Energy & Atmosphere credits.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a global green building certification program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). To achieve LEED certification, projects must satisfy all prerequisites and desired credit requirements. LEED Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum may be achieved.

The contributions listed are for credits found in LEED V4, the newest version of LEED. LEED projects that register after October 2016 will be required to use LEED V4 rating systems.
